VIDEO: Langley country star wins more national bling

Dallas Smith scoops up best album, single, and album sales at Canadian Country Music awards.

Album of the year

Langley’s own country singing star Dallas Smith brought home more bling from this year’s national industry awards ceremony this weekend.

During Sunday night’s Canadian Country Music Awards in Saskatoon, Sask., Smith earned the album of the year award for his latest, Side Effects.

He also scored single of the year for his song Autograph.

It didn’t end there. He was also recognized for having the top selling Canadian album of the year – again for Side Effects.

But that wasn’t all he walked away with from the awards night. He was “propositioned” by Canadian music legend Terri Clark.

“Congratulations to all the CCMA official winners,” Clark tweeted last night. “Especially my buddies @dallassmith for album/single…”

While she was not in attendance, Smith sent a shout out to his friend.

“Love ya @TerriClarkMusic!!! We missed you tonight.” Smith said.

It was the followup comment today from Clark that has the Langley boy winking.

“Hey, maybe we can sing one together next year?” Clark queried. “Ya never know, eh.”

Smith replied: “Ohhhhhh I think we should!”
