If you love the blues, sidle on down to the Osborne Bay Pub for this one

You can enjoy Mark Crissinger with a full band at a CD release party for his album, Believe in Love on Friday, Oct. 4 at the Osborne Bay Pub, starting at 8 p.m.

Crissinger is a 2017 Maple Blues Award nominee who has been entertaining music loving audiences since 1987, so you know he’s walked the talk.

He’s got a band with him for this appearance: a contemporary blues group featuring an all-star cast of musicians from the Nanaimo area. Their multiple performances at blues festivals in Nanaimo, Victoria, Chemainus, Parksville, Duncan, as well as pubs and clubs and private parties, have gained them friends and fans across Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, and beyond.

Blending traditional themes with clever lyrics and modern arrangements, the band combines different styles to give their show plenty of variety. That means you will hear some boogie woogie, funk, rock, shuffle and swing.

Dancing, singing, clapping, and, of course, laughing are all encouraged.

According to promoters, Berry Music Company, “The Mark Crissinger Band ignites audiences every time they play. When you combine fresh ideas, excellent musicianship, and audience participation the result is a good time for everyone. This will be an unforgettable show, preformed by exceptionally talented musicians.”

There’s a $10 cover charge. Get there early to be sure you have a seat.
