Virgo Rising, a folk music foursome, is performing during Nanaimo Folk Connection’s last concert of the season.
The group is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. Virgo Rising consists of Sue Averill, Karen Gillmore, Sharon Hazelwood and Tracy Summers.
The four members will perform some a cappella songs and incorporate their musical skills on percussion, bass, guitar and mountain dulcimer.
The show is Friday (June 17) at 7 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church, located at 2174 Departure Bay Rd.
Prior to Virgo Rising is an open stage segment, which allows anyone to perform.
Admission is by a suggested donation of $5.
Nanaimo Folk Connection shows will resume in September.
