The a cappella group WAG will be performing at Mission’s Fraser River Heritage Park on July 12 at 7 p.m.

WAG is the latest musical performer to grace the Twilight concert stage.

The concert takes place on Friday, July 12 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mission’s Fraser River Heritage Park.

Since its inception in 1987 (as the 4 Tunes) WAG, an a cappella group, has performed all over B.C. in a wide array of venues.

The group’s Vancouver Fringe Festival production 4-Ever Paisley was a sold out hit.

There will be finger-snapping favourites like Son of a Preacher Man and Sixty Minute Man.  You’ll hear sweet and well-crafted original songs like Good Night for Stars and East Van Anthem as well.

The Bob Lily Jazz Quintet returns to the Envision Twilight Concert Series on Wednesday, July 17 , also from 7 to 8 p.m.

The quintet was formed in the spring of 2008 with the principal purpose of playing some of the many regional jazz festivals that take place across B.C. every year. Since its formation, the group has been featured at various events around the Lower Mainland, including Jazz Vespers at St. Andrews-Wesley Church, as well as a segment on CBC’s Hot Air jazz program.  In addition, they have been featured at Davie Day, an outdoor street festival in Vancouver’s lively west end; played the Olympic Torch relay in 2010; and been featured several times at The Cellar, Vancouver’s premier jazz club. The group performs contemporary jazz.

Fraser River Heritage Park is located at 7494 Mary St. in Mission.

Admission to the concerts is free, but donations to this community-based series are appreciated.
