The band is no stranger to Golden, playing three previous times in the community.

“Each trip to Golden has been different and memorable and we expect nothing less this time,” said band member Dave McEathron.

“Golden feels like a home in the West,” said Ryan Wayne McEathron, “we have had such amazing experiences each and every time and really developed some life long friendships. Also, the greatest pickle maker in this fine country likes to drop in on our shows with his delicious pickles and good vibes.”

Warped 45s music is popular throughout Canada and is described as “Northern Gothic” and “Alt-Country Noir”.

While in Golden, The Warped 45s will be promoting their third CD ‘Metador Sunset’.

This album will contain different instruments from the band’s previous two Cds with a more up-tempo sound.

If there is one thing that The Warped 45s music doesn’t do, it is conform to the regular sounds of music today.

“Our biggest accomplishments is that we have managed to gain a real audience outside of the ridges genres and trends of commercial music,” said Dave, “we’ve never had to compromise our artistic vision and, in fact, have embraced it. We have a long-standing love of music and language and we channel that back into our own creations without consideration of era, genre or what is widely popular at the time.”

“The fact that audiences seem to react positively helps to motivate and inspire us to continue to grow as a band,” Ryan added.

If you would like to listen to a band with their own sound, be  at the Rockwater on Saturday June 11th.
