The Art of Judi Pedder returns to Filberg Lodge in Comox this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Once again, Pedder brings new and favourite images to the home-like atmosphere of the Filberg Lodge.
After last year’s show, comments included: “Beautiful interplay of colour and light” and “Lovely paintings, thoughtful words” — because each has its own story.
In the past year, Pedder has created more landscapes, some from visits to England where she was born, as well as her ever-popular florals.
Pedder’s medium of choice is watercolour, but don’t imagine they are all soft misty tints in barely-there scenes. The vibrant colours of her florals on masa paper on canvas are often mistaken for oils or acrylics, and she also paints on watercolour paper, directly on canvas or Yupo.
Traditionally matted and framed, or in the popular unframed style, there’s variety in size and price of these originals and a good selection of prints which fit standard photo frames.
Bring a friend, buy an original and join the group that can claim “now in our collection” or select for Pedder’s greeting cards — it’s all there for you to enjoy, meet the artist and make your selection. Layaway plans and gift certificates are available.
The lodge is wheelchair-accessible.
