Blackwell Park Operations brings free naturalist programs to Wells Gray Park

These fun and educational programs last under an hour and are held rain or shine.

The Nature Hut is the big brown building located between Falls Creek and Clearwater Lake provincial campgrounds.

These programs are FREE for everyone!

Wednesday, July 20, 7:30 pm @ The Nature Hut

Dynamic Landscape – An exploration of how the volcanoes, glaciers, and waterfalls of Wells Gray Provincial Park have created the landscape we see today.

Thursday, July 21, 7:30 pm @ The Nature Hut

Bear Aware – Discover the bears that call Wells Gray Provincial Park home. Learn what to do if you encounter a bear and how to enjoy the park while keeping both bears and campers safe.

Friday, July 22, 7:30 pm @ The Nature Hut

It’s not Easy Being Green – Journey through the diverse ecosystems within our park, from the deepest valleys to the highest mountain peaks. Learn to identify and to understand the plants and trees that you’ll encounter as you explore the park.

Saturday, July 23. 7:30 pm @ The Nature Hut

Wild Wells Gray – Have you seen any wild animals in the park? Come learn about the beasts and critters that you might be lucky enough to spot as you explore the area, as well as some animals that keep well hidden.
