Live theatre returns for the second week in a row with As the Port Churns episode four, when audiences may finally discover who captured the mermaid and where she is being kept.
For those who missed last week’s show, here is a quick recap of episode three as written and narrated by David Smook.
Lew Eegie (Hans Seidemann) is working for Stanley Dohlwigger, the harbour master (Jeff Bill), who can’t use his legs because he spent too much time at sea.
Dana Dohlwigger (Jessica Bruce) becomes jealous that her father has impregnated the local journalist, Tracey ‘Ace’ Newton (Krista Ediger), and steals his log book and convinces Lew Eegie to impersonate her father at a port board meeting.
Pam Again (Chelsea Stamp-Vincent) goes for advice from the questionable Dr. Obi Gin (Lyle McNish), who is now pretending to be a psychiatrist.
Meanwhile, Tracey ‘Ace’ Newton has been blackmailing the doctor after she discovered he was a fake and he doesn’t want to deal with her any longer.
Dr. Obi Gin convinces Pipes McGurn (Rich Jerstad) to pretend to be a doula so that he can kill the reporter when she’s at the hospital.
Then, in a disturbing twist of events, when Ace is giving birth, the lights went off at the Tom Rooney Playhouse, and when the lights come back on an adult-male sized baby emerges from under the sheets and Tracey is dead.
