“Wild Women don’t worry, Wild Women don’t get the blues,” says and old blues tune.
The Wild Women return, reinvented, with three new emerging artists.
They are partnering with Catherine Bell and her team at the Zocalo, where so many local musicians and artists get to show their stuff!
During the month of August, the wild women will feature eclectic, mesmerizing, post-modern, creative, fabulous, new and used works of art.
And wait, there’s more. There will be art in various mediums of every size, scope and range. Everything must go — no reasonable offer refused.
The artwork of 10 artists will be showcased: “Fearless” Barb Hutson, Shirley (The Crow) Dickie, “Undefinable” Pamela Young, Nancy (Light Master) Morrison, the “Rakish” Capt. Jeff, “Radical” Anne Lagg and Arlene (Yippee-Ki-Yay) McLeod.
The show will introduce Erica (Rogue Wave) Johansen, “Up & Coming” Jeremy Nelson and the “Elusive” Gina Finotti.
Anything can happen with this group, so be sure to check out the opening reception Wednesday, Aug. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Also, for those of you who wish to join, a few of us will go for a swim in the river at Lewis Park afterwords, so if that appeals to you, be sure to bring your bathing suit and towel.
