They are also available on request for special occasions. They will be performing at the legion on Remembrance Day.

The third Thursday of each month finds the group, as they were this week, delivering two performance at the legion.

They perform for the legion’s regular monthly luncheon for seniors and again in the evening for their spaghetti dinner night.

Hal Giles who is comfortable on keyboards, guitar or fiddle depending on what is needed for a particular gig, says the evening practice is from about 6:30 to 8:30 or 9 p.m. depending on how everyone is feeling.

“We’re there making music and if people want to dance to it they can,” Giles says

Sometimes he says people get up and dance and they will take song requests.

The second Monday of each month finds the fiddlers entertaining residents at Deni House from 1 to 2 p.m. and then Seniors Village residents from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Giles says the Williams Lake Fiddlers are members of the B.C. Old Time Fiddle association and has about a dozen local members, some regulars and some who play periodically with the group.

In addition to fiddles different members of the group play guitar, piano, accordion and sing.
