Yale Secondary presents Shrek the Musical starting this weekend at the Abbotsford Arts Centre (2329 Crescent Way).
The production takes place Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
The production is based on the Oscar-wining 2001 DreamWorks film Shrek.
It tells the story of an ogre named Shrek who, in a faraway kingdom turned upside down, shows up to rescue a feisty princess.
Adding to the adventure are a donkey who won’t shut up, a bad guy with a short temper, a cookie with an attitude and more than a dozen fairy tail misfits.
