Young singer ends her run on Vancouver Island’s Got Talent

An impressive feat for anyone, let alone a six-year-old, Honeymoon Bay youngster Stacy Farkas ended her months-long run on Vancouver Island’s Got Talent, Friday, January 21, on a high note.

An impressive feat for anyone, let alone a six-year-old, Honeymoon Bay youngster Stacy Farkas ended her months-long run on Vancouver Island’s Got Talent, Friday, January 21, on a high note.

Although she didn’t leave the competition with first place, she left audiences impressed with another great performance; the singing of the 2010 Olympics theme song I Believe.

“She was very happy, and that was a good experience,” her mother, Betty Farkas, said.

“Of course she will continue singing and looks forward to future performances and competitions.”

The young singer became a fan favourite during the Vancouver Island-wide competition, wherein Farkas was the youngest performer.

After being eliminated during the semi-finals, 23,856 people – the equivalent of 47 per cent of total voters – voted the young singer back into the competition.
