Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod re-elected

9:05 p.m.: With 25,491 votes in, Cathy McLeod remains at over 40 per cent of the votes at 11,632. Liberal Terry Lake remains at just under 30 per cent with 8,100.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 3,966 votes (14.3 per cent)

Despite many votes still to be counted, Green Party candidate Iain Currie with 3,485 votes has already surpassed 2015 Green Party votes, which ended at 2,489.

Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough is at 128, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson is at 407 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with 54.

Thus far, 27.03 per cent of registered electors have had their vote counted for 27,772 votes out of a possible 102,759 registered voters (excl. those registered on election day).

8:28 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod has been re-elected in the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo, according to the Canadian Press.

8:25 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now well in the lead at 3,777 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 2,541.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 1,144 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 1,006 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with 45, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 138 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with 18.

8:23 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now at 2,998 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 2,084.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 915 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 825 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with 39, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 114 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with 15.

So far 6.8 per cent of registered electors have voted for a total of 6,989 votes.

8:20 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now at 2,668 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 1,822.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 780 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 705 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with 36, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 102 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with 12.

So far six per cent of registered electors have voted for a total of 6,215 votes.

8:10 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now at 2,058 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 1,476.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 597 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 531 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with 26, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 84 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with 11.

8:05 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now at 1,776 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 1,312.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 505 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 441 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with 21, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 73 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with 10.

7:58 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now at 1,274 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 945.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 345 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 316 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with 12, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 47 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with eight.

7:44 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod is now at 817 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 570.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 219 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 202 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with eight, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 23 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with five.

7:40 p.m.: Conservative candidate Cathy McLeod has extended her lead, sitting at 489 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 369.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 151 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 96 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with three, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with 14 and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with four.

7:35 p.m.: With a few more votes counted, Conservative Cathy McLeod has taken over the lead. She’s now at 116 votes to Liberal Terry Lake’s 109.

NDP candidate Cynthia Egli is in third with 36 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 20 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with two, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with three and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with two.

7:27 p.m.: The polls have closed in B.C.

With just very few votes counted, Liberal Party Candidate Terry Lake is leading with 72 votes.

Conservative Cathy McLeod is in second with 64 votes, followed by NDP candidate Cynthia Egli in third with 26 votes, Green Party candidate Iain Currie at 14 votes, Animal Protection Party candidate Kira Cheeseborough with two, People Party’s candidate Ken Finlayson with two and Communist Party candidate Peter Kerek with one.
