Kingston Construction has continued to honour the memory of its founder, who died of colon cancer in 2009, with another gift to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation.

The Surrey-based company, established by Ben Backman, more than 50 years ago, used part of its latest donation to purchase video light source equipment to help doctors diagnose patients by producing clear images with a scope.

In addition to supporting colon cancer prevention efforts, the Backman family’s latest gift will also support Royal Columbian Hospital redevelopment plans.

The Backman family has donated to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation for more than a decade.
