The BC Food Processors Association (www.bcfpa.ca) has announced the appointment of James Donaldson as their new CEO, reporting to president and board chair Dave Eto.
Donaldson brings a wealth of experience within the food industry in BC, having spent the last 20-plus years with companies such as Diageo, Yves Veggie Cuisine, BC Hot House Foods, Maple Leaf Foods and Superior Freeze Dry.
Most recently Donaldson has been working as a management consultant as Principal of Flashpoint Strategies, providing strategic planning, business development, business process, advisory and coaching services to small to mid-sized consumer goods companies.
“James brings tremendous food business experience from a wide rang of industries, which is fitting for our BCFPA membership,” said Eto. “While James is learning about our organization, I encourage our members to make contact and introduce yourselves. The more people he meets and issues understands, the better the orientation to our diverse group. Please join me in welcoming James to the BCFPA.”
Originally from Manitoba, Donaldson moved to B.C. in 1991 upon graduating from the University of Manitoba. He lives in Surrey with his wife Sharon and three children, Jordan, Emily and Justin.
