With her latest mural being installed on the Kwik Kleen Laundromat and The Bistro, Leigh Cassidy and her band of artists, including Gloria Magill, left, have taken a playful approach to the wrap-around mural at the corner of Anderson and Doherty Drive. With the help of Bernie “DiDiT!” Bates, a columnist, artist, poet, ex-bullrider and characterist formerly from Williams Lake, now residing in West Kelowna and several local artists the mural will feature each of the people who work in the business including Cleo the standard poodle. Leigh and Bernie collaborated on the caracitures and Bernie will be here for another week to complete the first phase of the project. Owner Theresa Kraus recreates the pose of herself being installed on the front of the building. Quesnel will be seeing more of Bernie as he completed the business window art for Billy Barker Days and has been asked to come back again next year.
A playful approach
