Closet classical musicians in the South Cariboo have the Adult Community Concert Band to help keep their music alive.

Director Jack Felner uses a lifetime of experience as a musician and teacher to keep his 15-member band in tune. They practise weekly, each Thursday night at the Christ the King Lutheran Church from September through June.

Aside from a performance during the Christmas season at Fischer Place and a large concert that they host at the end of their season in June, the band members focus on practising and enjoying the camaraderie that comes with playing with a group of like-minded people.

The band is always looking for new members, and as Felner says, “All you have to do is have an instrument, and we’ll do the rest.”

He can be contacted at 250-395-2088.
