ALEX HOUSE: Strengthing ties to White Rock/Surrey communities

Alex Neighbourhood House's vision is to create vibrant communities, with neighbours and community organizations working together.

The essence of a neighbourhood house is hard to pin down.

Neighbourhood Houses are different from any other community or social service organization in that they exist for the community, and are of the community, strengthening  ties and providing needed services and resources which in turn, enrich the community.

A neighbourhood house is about grass-roots community capacity building, taking a “bottom up” approach, and providing the necessary tools to cultivate lasting relationships, improving access to resources.

Our long-term vision is to create vibrant communities, with neighbours supporting internally and community organizations supporting externally, all working together.
