The Smithers Art Gallery just launched its latest exhibit, titled “Reclamation of Our Spirit: the continuation of Northwest Coast Art in the 21st Century.” The showcase features a variety of First Nations artists and art styles, from face masks to framed prints. The gallery said they believe this is the first group show of First Nations art ever exhibited at the gallery. The exhibit runs to Jan. 28. Shown here is a piece called Frog Transformation Mask, by Virginia Morgan.
The new exhibit at the Smithers Art Gallery runs to the end of the month.
