The Friends of the Westbank Library, as part of their speaker series, will be offering a session on Downloading eBooks from Library to Go on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Westbank Branch of the Okanagan Regional Library.
Dance club
The Friday Night Dance Club will be holding their next dance on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 8 to 11 p.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion Hall with the band Buzz Byer.
Additional dances will be held Feb. 11, March 10, April 14 and May 12. The bands will be: January and February (Buzz Byer), March (About Time), April (New Vintage), and May (Shindigger). Enjoy an evening of dancing, fellowship, prizes and food for a most reasonable price.

Nomination deadline for the fifth annual Okanagan Arts Awards, which include Arts Educator, Music, Dance, and Supporter of the Arts, Design, Theatre, Literary Arts, Visual Arts and Media Arts, is 4 p.m. on Jan. 9. Music showcase
Buzz Brazz, a Quebec-based ensemble which makes classical cool, is the next group performing as part of the Children’s Showcase series. Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Cleland Theatre in Penticton. Buzz Brass www.buzzbrass.com.
