Question: Do I have to take the ashes home?
Answer: “In a word…no. The funeral home will hold them for 60 days at no charge. It’s the law. After 60 days, the funeral home can charge a fee to store them. After a year, the funeral home can dispose of the ashes. There are laws and ethical guidelines. Ask us about the special way we help families with ashes.”
