Have you ever wondered what it would be like to become a volunteer?
Do you have a bit of time you could spare, even a small amount, to help in your community?
Joining the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary offers you a means of enriching your life experience while helping others.
As a member of the auxiliary, you have the opportunity to share ideas, learn from other members and build friendships, all while helping Peace Arch Hospital to grow and to continue to be a leader in community health.
Within the auxiliary, there are opportunities to engage in event planning, to use your leadership skills, to join us in moving forward with technology, to work in retail sales, to help with marketing, communications, fundraising and more.
Are you unsure if you have enough time to commit to volunteering with the PAH Auxiliary?
No problem. There are many things that you can do to help whether you are interested in small short term activities or in longer-term projects.
All you need to do, is ask our volunteer resources department.
Currently we have students, working people and retired people as members. We have several events which need volunteers on a short-term basis.
There are also longer-term projects that take snippets of time over the duration of the project.
The various events allow busy people to tailor their volunteer commitment to their busy lives.
Giving back to the community is a rewarding experience which develops a positive attitude and personal sense of pride.
Through our newsletter, members are kept aware of fundraisers, activities and other bits of news from the various groups within the auxiliary.
Our new website offers a lot of information and inspiration for anyone who is interested in joining the hospital auxiliary. Check us out at www.pahas.ca
