Applications are available for exhibitors interested in participating in the third annual Bellies, Birth and Babies Fair.

This year the fair will take place at the newly renovated Native Sons Hall, a central downtown Courtenay location with ample parking and stroller/wheelchair-accessible facilities.

The fair will include a showcase room in the Grand Hall for up to 30 exhibitors’ products and services, as well as a concession serving family-appropriate snacks and beverages. On the lower level, there are two secondary rooms to host a series of free workshops/demos, and an additional space for free child-minding for show visitors. If you have a business, product or service that caters to pregnant or postpartum women or families with young children, this is the event for you.

“The Bellies, Birth and Babies Fair was beyond successful for us,” says Sherry Turnbull of Podlings in the Comox Valley. “We were able to reach many new customers in our target market. The co-ordinators for the fair did an amazing and professional job. We are proud to be involved in the doula community. We will be thrilled to be involved again next year.”

The Bellies, Birth and Babies Fair was founded by the Comox Valley Doulas three years ago and will take place on Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The idea grew out of a desire to showcase what is available in the Comox Valley to our expectant and young families. They felt it was time to shine the spotlight on all the support services, resources and businesses that cater to this growing part of community. Six hundred families will be welcoming new additions this year, and now everyone has a place to go and check out all the businesses and support networks available to them.

To download an application form, visit www.comoxvalleydoulas.com and click on Bellies, Birth and Babies Fair. Entries must be postmarked no later than March 4.
