n Roll up your sleeve for Blood Pressure Monitoring by volunteer nurses on Monday, Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kent Street Centre. No appointment is necessary for this free service, which is available to adults 55-plus.
n Join horticulturalist and garden designer Estelle Bogoch on Saturday, Oct. 22 for a hands-on lesson about pruning. Learn the correct way to prune trees and shrubs.

n Now that it’s getting cooler outside, turn your attention indoors and try your hand at bingo, every Tuesday, 1-3 p.m. at Kent Street Activity Centre. Twenty-five cents cents per card – great fun, small cash prizes and jackpot games.
n Kent Street played host to two spectacular events last month: the semi-annual Men’s Snooker Tournament and the annual Dairy Queen Cribbage Tournament.
