A traveling family from Salmon Arm, and another from the Lower Mainland, met briefly when each stopped recently in Barriere to give their traveling canine companions a chance to run around. The group commented that they found the people in the community friendly, and having driven through the area in the past, were impressed with all of the improvements that have since taken place.
