The Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre will distribute 15 car seats to families in the community. The seats were acquired through a BCAA program.

Tara Hollas, resource coordinator at the centre, said the seats have already been allocated.

There were two rear-facing infant seats, six convertible infant/child seats, three high-back booster seats and four no-back booster seats.

The value of all the car seats is $1,098.87.

Summerland was part of the car seat program last year and Hollas said the centre will likely apply next year as well.
