A Barriere resident caught this recent photo of a robin sitting on her garden fence. Poor bird looks like he can hardly wait until warmer days arrive in the valley. Although most robins migrate away from the area to warmer climates during the winter months, some robins do stay in the valley and feed off backyard bird feeders. We wonder if this bird is a year-round resident, or just an unlucky traveller who arrived far too early for temperatures to be on the rise as we move towards spring.
