The free Community Christmas Dinner held in the Barriere Christian Life Assembly Church on Dec. 8, was a huge success according to church representative Lynn Bode.

“The event brought in $667 and 150 pounds of food for the Barriere Food Bank,” said Bode, “And we fed 200 people a full Christmas dinner.”

Bode says that the annual event is now hosted between the Christian Life Assembly Church and the Barriere Lion’s Club, receiving help from their members and other volunteers.

Asked what she thought of this year’s event, Bode answered, “It was wonderful!”
