Author and instructor at Elder College with Vancouver Island University, Paul Colver, is putting on a workshop in Parksville this Thursday. Colver will be speaking about the points in his latest book, called Aging Reversal: An Ayurvedic Approach to Wellness and Vitality.

Ayurveda is an ancient healing approach from India that provides guidelines on ideal daily routines, diet and behavior in order to live a healthy life.

Colver said we each have our own unique requirements to stay balanced, and often in his courses, people will come to understand why they’ve been struggling with a health issue.

“Where the ‘ah ha’ moment comes in is when they say ‘Oh I see how that works, that’s what I’ve been struggling with for 40 years, and this is what I need to do to fix it and get it in balance,’” he said.

Colver will be teaching the workshop through the Shift in Action Group March 24 at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre at 7 p.m. Entry is by donation.
