Cottonwood House Heritage field work

Visitors were given the rare opportunity to see how field work was done in Edwardian times

Aug. 23, Cottonwood House manager Bill  Edwards hand-scythed oats and prepared bundles while three teams of draft horses plowed and prepared the  ground for next year’s planting. Fascinated visitors, some from as far away as California, watched an almost forgotten way of life.
