To commemorate the National Day of Prayer, Friday, March 4, Hope resident Chris Vine, was inspired to carve a cross out of the stump from an aging cherry tree that once lined the walkway of the Hope United Church. This is Vine’s first attempt at such a carving. The smiles and praises for his efforts were a welcomed reward, as Hope’s newest carving greeted the congregation as they entered the church on Sunday morning.
