Delta has been named a Leader in Sustainability for the second year in a row by Call2Recycle, the product stewardship program responsible for household battery and cell phone recycling in BC.
Through the Call2Recycle program, Delta provides eleven locations for residents to drop off used batteries and cell phones including recreation facilities, libraries, seniors’ centres and the Municipal Hall.
Over 4,300 kilograms of rechargeable and non rechargeable batteries were recycled at Delta’s facilities in 2011 and 2012 making Delta one of the highest collection sites in Canada.
