The summer Farmers’ Markets are ready to start another season in Golden.
Once again this year there will be a market on Wednesdays at the CP parking lot near downtown and on Saturdays in Spirit Square.
Kay Nagao is one of the organizers of the Farmers’ Market this year. She said she is very excited the markets are starting up again.
“We still have music every Wednesday to entertain the crowds. There will be lots of different vendors and there will be new vendors joining us. There will be more produce people and we are hoping to have more vendors at the Saturday markets as well this year,” she said. “This year people will be able to pay with credit cards. There will be a point of sale place where people can use a credit card which we have not had before.”
The first Wednesday market is on June 12, from noon to 5 p.m. (new hours), and the first Saturday market is on June 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“It is one stop shopping and makes for a very social event for a lot of people which will be a fun time,” Nagao said.
