Golden bird watchers are being encouraged to join with birders across the western hemisphere and participate in one of North America’s winter-time traditions.
The annual Christmas Bird Count will be held in Golden on Dec. 27.
The organizers are looking for participants of any and all skill levels in bird identification.
There are lots of options for those interested to choose from.
As a participant you can go along with an experienced birder and help to record numbers.
People can also cover a specifically allocated territory which could be done on their own or with family and friends.
You can even stay at home and watch and record your feeder.
