On Wednesday, March 8, Changes That Heal held a fundraising fashion show to commemorate International Women’s Day.

Mystic Dreams storeowner Flo Amundson brought more than 80 outfits that were modelled by local women of all ages. The clothing was beautiful, out of the ordinary, from designers such as Papa from Vancouver and  OM Grown fashions from Saltspring Island.

The Wells Gray Riders Association provided a concession loaded with delectable treats and drinks enjoyed by all.

The support from the fashion show will help Changes That Heal to continue with its mandate to provide public education on the subject of domestic violence, and to help people understand how they can assist their family members, friends, or neighbours who are dealing with abuse.

“If we all do a little, we can accomplish big changes toward making our community a safer place to live,” said an organizer.
