Some top-flight works to be shown

One of the Awards of Excellence awarded to members of the Arrowsmith Chapter of the FCA went to Allan Dunfield for Quiet Place.

A Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) art show revealing diverse work from local artists will be displayed downstairs at the Old School House (TOSH) in the TOSH 10 Gallery starting this Monday.

The Arrowsmith Chapter of the FCA artists will be exhibiting and selling their paintings at the show, work chosen in the juried 2011 Summer Show by senior jurors in Vancouver. 

Awards of excellence in the show went to Allan Dunfield, Leslie Gregory and Deborah Daffe with honorable mentions going to Marilyn Cooney, Leslie Gregory, Thea Kovach, Donna McDonnell, Ros Ross, and Jacqueline Smith.

A reception will be held June 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. to meet the artists and enjoy refrehments. 

The show runs from this Monday, June 13 to June 27.
