Swim
Matsqui Recreation Centre is commonly referred to as The Wave Pool. This indoor swimming experience has a slide, diving boards, a sauna, and a shallow beach area where waves crash every 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Abbotsford Recreation Centre’s fantastic indoor pool offers leisure and adult swims, toonie swims, aqua fitness and more.
Skate
On the ice, Abbotsford has several high-quality facilities for hockey and other sports.
The 7,000-seat Abbotsford Centre, MSA Arena and Centre Ice are ideal for the hockey community. ARC boasts an Olympic-sized ice rink which is used for hockey, speed skating and the general public. An NHL-sized ice rink can be found at the MRC.
Rock-climbing
Many Abbotsford residents crave that slow and steady climb, fighting gravity every inch of the way.
The folks at Project Climbing Centre understand the need for a challenge and provide a full schedule of drop-in times for all ages. They offer courses from beginner to advanced, and provide training in their 9,000-square-foot facility.
Curling
Curling is a true Canadian sport, and Abbotsford has embraced it fully. Our full-time curling facility is home to numerous teams of all ages, from juniors to seniors. The dedicated staff and volunteers at the Abbotsford Curling Club are committed to providing playing opportunities while hosting
championships.
