Strathcona Regional District and the City of Campbell River are once again partnering on the Family New Year’s Celebration sponsored by McDonald’s.
Drop in for this free, fun, family-oriented event on Dec. 31 at Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex from 5 to 9 p.m.
“Come and celebrate New Year’s Eve with us!” says recreation programmer Margaret Lukban. “There will be lots of fun things to do with the family: swimming and ice skating challenges, a crazy reptile room, games, prizes and much, much more!”
A new drop-in afternoon activity program called Adult & Me & A Christmas Tree takes place Dec. 22 and Dec. 23 at Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Each day will offer different activities like swimming, ice skating and create a fun holiday craft! Please bring your own helmet. Program fee is $10 for one child (accompanied by an adult).
“These programs give people opportunities to spend active quality time with family,” Lukban adds. “Whether you want to skate, swim or get creative, there is something fun for everyone this season!”
