Help the Campbell take the next step to recovery

The Myrt Thompson Trail along the Campbell River has been heavily impacted by former industrial use and invasive species

Volunteers are needed On Sunday, from 1-4 p.m., to help Greenways Land Trust and TD plant over 200 trees along the Myrt Thompson Trail to help improve the riparian area of the Campbell River.

The Myrt Thompson Trail along the Campbell River has been heavily impacted by former industrial use and invasive species, and it needs help to recover its diverse riverside vegetation that helps to keep the river clean, cool, and welcoming for salmon and other wildlife.

Greenways Land Trust has been working to enhance the Myrt Thompson for several years, and planting over 200 trees is another big step in the process to returning the Campbell River to nature.

TD is providing funding for the event through its TD Tree Days program.

The event will run rain or shine and all tools will be provided.  Meet at the end of Maple Street in Campbellton.  For more information, contact Greenways Land Trust at (250) 287-3785, or email volunteer@greenwaystrust.ca.
