Air cadets Michael Hersh, Taurus Sharpe and Victoria Yu, all from 767 Dearman Squadron in Surrey, received honours during the fifth and final graduation parade for Albert Head Cadet Training Centre (CSTC).
Yu received the Top Musician Award from the six-week Intermediate Musician Course. As part of her award, Yu received a music baton.
Sharpe received the Top Cadet award for the three-week Basic Drill and Ceremonial Course.
“Cadet Sharpe is a well rounded cadet, who takes a serious interest in the success of others,” said his flight commander, 2nd-Lt. Carlin Leung. “In fact, my flight’s Most Improved Cadet believes his success is due to Cadet Sharpe’s support and help.”
Hersh received the Most Improved Award for outstanding effort during his six-week Drill and Ceremonial Instructor Course.
“At the start of the course, Cadet Hersh was timid and shy,” said his flight commander, Lt. Jon Leung. “He soon came out of his shell, and emerged as a strong role model.”
The 767 Dearman Squadron, which trains in North Surrey, has 125 air cadets.
