Tip of the Week:
Happy Valentine’s Day… brings a lovely warm atmosphere to our chilly mid-winter blues. Yet, given the common character traits of Aquarius, it is somewhat ironic that it occurs during this time. Aquarius characteristics include individuality, friendly, unique, unorthodox, eccentric, stubborn, rebellious, revolutionary, democratic, humanitarian, intuitive, intellectual, inventive, detached and paradoxical. Romantic is simply not a key word for Aquarius. However, some ‘Aquarians’ might be, especially if they are strongly influenced by Leo, Libra, Pisces, Venus, Neptune and/or the Moon, for example.
This year Mercury Retrograde, now in Aquarius, is contributing to ‘life being like a box of chocolates wherein we never know what we are going get’. Yet, we can know when Mercury will appear to be moving backwards and we can gain some insights about its influence to help us be more aware and adapt to situations. This is the list of dates for 2014: (1st – Feb 6 to 28) (2nd – Jun 2 to Jul 1) (3rd – Oct 4 to 25). If your birthday is during these dates, you will have Mercury Retrograde in your Solar Return Chart. Thus, it will influence you from this year’s birthday (2014) to next year’s. How Mercury Retrograde will manifest depends on the particulars of one’s chart. So while useful generalizations can be made for each sign, to be specific requires a more personal approach.
Mercury Retrograde is not necessarily bad, though it tends to prove annoying due to delays, communications confusion and technical malfunctions. At best, it influences us to review, reconsider, re-evaluate, revisit and all other sorts of revisions of what we have already done or has occurred. This week’s Horoscope offers some insights about the current cycle of Mercury Retrograde for each sign.
Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
In your climb to higher places or at least new peaks you may have entered some fog over the past little while. Now it is time to reconnect with your dreams, intuitions and inspirations that have motivated your aspirations and ambitions. Discern between the dream and the reality to identify and clear any illusions, delusions and confusions.
Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Some reality checks linked to your professional standing, status and reputation are rolling-in. Circumstances of late are not allowing you to relax into distractions. Yet, this is a good time for some stimulation perhaps in the form of culture. So, how can you have both? Answer: Enjoy cultural activities that positively influence you professionally.
Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Career questions are on your mind. Deciphering your best approach and direction is on your mind. At worst you feel at a loss. You may feel overwhelmed by the spectrum of possibilities and choices available. Either way, the future beckons. The answer is linked to the choice that provides expansion and increased opportunity, especially regarding relationships.
Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22)
A process of soul searching has begun. Who am I or what do I need and want now in my life, or what is the best direction for me and so on… are likely sorts of questions now. Your career and/or social status in general are under review. New affiliations, associations and relationship strategies both at home and work are good approaches to get answers and achieve resolution.
Leo (Jul 22 – Aug 23)
What do others want and need from you? Your response will ideally include a confident conviction of your sense of authenticity verses simply yielding to the audience. Yet, balance is ever the ideal. The time has come to strike a better deal, to decipher that fine line between who you are and what others need and want from you.
Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)
Reflections upon how to best express yourself in your more important relationships are pushing you back to the drawing board. Adaptation and adjustment are features of the game, so don’t sweat it, just do it. Creatively building upon existing foundations is probably your best option. And look within at least as much as without for guidance and approval.
Libra (Sep 22 – Oct 22)
A good deal of analyzing matters has been occupying your thoughts. Hopefully you have not run into analysis paralysis; too much thinking and not enough action. The time has come to be more assertive and to try new angles. Taking an experiential and experimental approach will evoke the right spirit. Yes that will do, yes that is what you will do.
Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)
Home is where your heart is… literally. In as much as this is true you are free or at least covering a lot of ground. Independent, creative thinking is the style of genius and you have plenty of its fire in your belly. So, you have to get in, to access it, in order to get it out. This may be a call for solitude. Then again intimate gatherings may be the best formula for the magic to work.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)
Your lights are on now. As if suddenly a steady stream of new perspectives, perceptions and realizations are flooding your mind. The train has arrived at the previously vacant station. If you are wondering what to do now, the answer is simple, get on the train. A new adventure is beginning and it will lead you to boldly go where you have not gone before.
Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)
Sometimes circumstances ask us to put our head down and plough. This may be one of those times. Family matters woven with professional ambitions are featured. The danger is that you might over bore the core, causing casualty of sorts. The balance you seek probably requires input from others. These include professional training and/or perhaps healing techniques rendered to you.
Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)
A sudden turn of recent events is inspiring your ambition, drive and focus. New incoming information is altering your perspectives. You are being directed to seeing a bigger picture. Still, practical tools are required. While some of your dreams, hopes and wishes are coming true, you also need to persevere practically with all four hooves connecting firmly with the turf.
Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)
All the great achievements in life are the results of great dreams and dreamers. At least this is true in the conception phase. The other end of the deal includes planning, strategy, execution and follow-through; lights camera and action. A few changes in your approach and attitude may be required. Be open at least and for best results, ask and reach out for assistance.
