Tip of the Week:
Is it a mid-summer’s night dream or a darker theme coming to the fore? A lot is happening astrologically including Mars entering Scorpio, after almost eight months in Libra due to its retrograde cycle. While in Libra, Mars did coincide with violent provocations to achieve new states of balance and retaliations to settle old scores, especially since turning direct on May 20th. Yet, it stands to be that much more intense and perhaps darker over the coming months.
Mars is the verb in the sentence, the pioneering initiative and action oriented factor. It does not necessarily mean violence, but it does symbolize the aggression factor in our lives. This can prove especially true when it cycles through Scorpio where it will remain until September 13th. It is noteworthy that the three numbers in its ingress date (7/25/2014) each equal 7, the number of initiation. Mars co-rules Scorpio along with Pluto. Where Pluto represents the deeper themes of deep mystery, esotericism, transformation and rebirth, Mars is the more pointed, thrusting, jabbing, cutting and assertive and even violent aspect of Scorpio.
The ‘ingress chart’ for Mars entering Scorpio, which illustrates the overall tone of the cycle, occurs during the time of the late waning or what is technically called the ‘Balsamic Moon’. This Moon Phase, especially when in its final 10 degrees, which it is, itself indicates death, endings, clearing and letting go of the past in preparation for a new cycle. Just like Scorpio, the late waning Moon is symbolically associated with late October and November. However, the ingress chart also illustrates themes of empathy, compassion and prayers for peace that already are and will continue to sweep the globe. With the Sun and Jupiter still closely aligned we can also expect more assertive appeals for justice and equal human rights to offset outdated gender inequality attitudes and practices along with other bullying and aggression as is strongly evidenced in Palestine, Syria and elsewhere. Stay tuned, the heat will rise in all respects over the coming weeks and months.
Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
The temperature is rising for you and in more ways than one. You will feel the passion, drama and hopefully inspiration and confidence rising this week. A good deal of your focus remains centered on home and family and the emphasis shifts from work to play. Yet, with some deep changes still brewing in and around you, it could be a real mix.
Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Just when it seems the pace and tempo might quiet down a bit, a new wave of excitement is on the rise. Key power plays and players are now receiving their cue to act. These will be deliberate and obvious, not subtle. They will challenge you to think and act creatively. Fortunately, your confidence levels are steadily rising.
Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
An exciting if dramatic cycle has begun. It will coincide with increased energy levels and a wider spectrum of activity. It could prove to be dizzying at times, even for you. In the short-term a core feature of your focus remains centered on feeling secure. Your health is implied one way or another whether physical, psychological, financial, or D all of the above.
Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22)
Laying claim to your rich reservoir of creative talents will be hot on your mind as this week progresses. Sometimes our best talent, however, is recognizing the gifts and resourcefulness of others. At least you may seek to be inspired by the creative genius others possess. Avoid competitive comparisons and aim for elevating emulations instead.
Leo (Jul 22 – Aug 23)
The New Moon in your sign marks the beginning of a powerful new cycle for you. It suggests a dynamic and pioneering expansion into new territory. If you notice things have cooled down in other areas this is partially why. So trust this flow and be willing to take fresh initiatives. Clear goals and a well-organized approach are vital to your success.
Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)
Digging deeper into your wellspring of faith, trust and confidence begins this week. This cycle will last for about a year. In the short term, secure a creative space or studio. The time has come to get down to business on projects that have been patiently waiting their turn. Fortunately, your energy levels are rising to help you launch your objectives.
Libra (Sep 22 – Oct 22)
A playful and perhaps inventive cycle has begun. Forging new friendships and other associations and affiliations is likely. These will call upon your know how and specializations. Obtaining new tools and skills has already begun but you will soon discover that you want more. Expect to want more out of life, more of yourself and more recognition.
Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)
Some promising new prospects in your public and professional life are hot on your mind. You are ready for more attention and/or to advance to the next level. This is an expansive time and should coincide with a more active imagination. Your task will be to direct your focus to the outcome of your desires. For now, be assertive to obtain favours and earned rewards.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)
You are in a playful and provocative mood. This includes the prospect of adventure. Yet, there remain certain things that you must do first. This includes clearing the way. Some form of renovation is implied. It is important that you be deliberate and if necessary to exercise courage to break through hidden doubts and fears. First determine what you want then decipher what is in the way.
Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)
Riding out the momentum of a peak cycle is a source of inspiration now. Returns for past performances and efforts are beginning to roll in, again. The flip side of this story is that the quality or lack thereof these returns are directly linked to the quality of your previous input. All being well the abundance is flowing and your confidences are soaring.
Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)
The foundations for new relationships are being forged. An exuberant and expansive cycle has begun, finally. You have likely been waiting quite a while for this one to begin. It remains important, however, that you are willing to give more than you might usually or think you should. Trust this flow for now, it will bring bigger returns yet in a few weeks.
Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)
You have received the call, the inspiration, the nudge and perhaps the push. Now it is time to get to work. As ever, great achievements are based on one part inspiration and two parts perspiration. Some would even say the perspiration factor is much higher yet. Fortunately you will feel more decisive and determined this week than you have for many months.
