The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre (NIWRC) hosted it’s annual Family Day on Saturday, June 23.

A fundraiser for the centre all proceeds help the non-profit organization continue to care for ill, injured and orphaned wildlife.

Parksville artist Monk was on hand with her community canvas which has been at three Family Day events at the centre and is still a work in progress.

Several animal lovers young and old added their brush strokes to the piece on Saturday.

Anyone who adopts an animal or buys a seasons pass or membership at the centre in Errington will be entered in a draw to win a kids bicycle.  The draw will take place on July 31.
