International Women’s Day was celebrated in Golden on March 8 with a night of music, poetry and fun for all those in attendance.
The Golden Women’s Resource Centre hosted the annual performance salon at the Kicking Horse River Lodge again this year.
This event had a casual atmosphere that featured phenomenal local talent.
“I would like to say, it was a great event and we had bag pipes (as you know), accordion, guitars, drums and at the end of the evening the ladies performed the flash mob dance,” said Tammy Fitzgerald, who served as emcee for the event.
