Join in Kelowna’s inaugural Polar Bear Dip

Register yourself or your team for Kelowna's inaugural Polar Bear Dip, Jan. 1 in Kelowna's Waterfront Park.

The inaugural Kelowna Polar Bear Dip is set for Jan. 1, 2015 at Okanagan Waterfront Park.

The inaugural event, which begins at noon, is being held in support of Community Recreation Initiatives Society Adaptive Adventures.

Organizers are looking for participants, sponsors and spectators to join in and become part of a winter-time tradition.

A variety of cultural performances, live bands and presenters will be featured, along with hot chocolate and pastries.

The purpose of this event is to help build a fully accessible new facility for CRIS on Mission Creek. This will allow the local non-profit society to expand the scope of its operations and fulfill as many dreams as possible.

Potential volunteers, sponsors and dippers can email organizers for more information at KelownaPolarBearDip@gmail.com.
