Literacy Quesnel held a Christmas event, Dec. 15. It was a fun event – there were seven service providers hosting free Christmas activities for families. More than 80 kids stopped and choose books for themselves (a gift from Literacy Quesnel) and one for someone else in their lives – then wrap it. Literacy Quesnel board members and volunteers were out in full force to help. The leftover books (all bought new with funding from Raise-a-Reader and Children First) were then given to Good Cheer so they could place them in hampers.
