Thea Ruth Gray Maguire was married to William Earl Pheasey Jan. 2, 2010, under a blue moon at the Parker Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. Thea is the daughter of John and Dagmar Maguire of Vernon, and Earl is the son of Fred Pheasey of Edmonton and Judy Sabados of Vancouver.
Thea’s maid of honour was her sister Kate Maguire of Calgary, bridesmaids were her cousin Erin Maguire of Calgary, her best friend Erinn Pinkerton of Victoria, and sister-in-law Sabrina Sabados of Los Angeles. Earl’s best man was Brett Pinkerton of Victoria. He was also attended by his brothers, Paul Pheasey of Vancouver and Ashley Sabados of Denver, as well as his brother-in-law Jack Maguire of Toronto. Ringbearer was Michael Shwets of Dubai, UAE.
The wedding ceremony was held outside in the sunshine in one of the gardens of the resort, and later at dusk, the guests moved inside where they enjoyed a candle lit evening of dinner and dancing. The bride and groom started off their marriage together by choreographing their own first dance to Blue Eyes by the Carey brothers.
The happy couple then returned to Dubai, but have recently moved and are now living in Houston, Texas, with their dog Dugg. They plan to honeymoon in New York City this coming spring.
