Mail Run celebrates Canad’s 150 anniversary

On the envelope of the Mail Run special letters carried by dog sled to Wells and Barkerville is the Canada 150 logo

The Gold Rush Trail Sled Dog Mail Run envelopes, in addition to the standard embellishment including the mail run’s 25th anniversary, contained the Canada 150 logo, making it one of the first Canada 150 events of this very special anniversary of the founding of our nation. At the culmination of the run in Barkerville, the participants posed in front of St. Saviour’s Church for a celebratory photo.
