Steph Jeavons, a round the world motorcycle adventurer, will appear at several local events during his visit to Kelowna on April 22, 23 and 27.
Jeavons will be looking to raise funds for her ongoing global journey and in support of her chosen charity, Rally4Life based out of Kelowna.
Jeavons, who was born in Canada but raised in Wales in the UK, has returned for the first time to her birthplace, but her route was a little less normal than one might expect.
Two years and 50,000 miles ago, Jeavons departed Ace Cafe, an iconic motorcycle venue in London to complete a long-held dream to ride her motorcycle around the world.
She has chosen for this task a Honda CRF 250R she has named Rhonda, a smaller motorcycle but one that has already reliably transported her across six continents with one more remaining for her to conquer—Africa.
“Rhonda has been the perfect companion for me. So far she is light, nimble and as I have come to expect from Honda, incredibly reliable even over 50,000 challenging miles” said Jeavons.
“The same might not be said about my body, which is dealing with the rigours of 50,000 miles of vibrations and a lack of typical exercise.
“At least I will be in one of the most beautiful parts of the world to enjoy some R&R before continuing.”
