The PREB website will help you identify skills and tasks accomplished using human resources terms understood by potential employers.
You save time and produce professional references that your volunteers who are job hunting or advancing in their careers can use with their resumes.
The PREB certification training will be held Tuesday, April 8, from noon to 1 p.m., at Kelowna Community Resources, 120–1735 Dolphin Ave. in Kelowna. Register at www.kcr.ca. Bring your own lunch and we will provide a sweet treat.

Dial 1-855-372-5077 toll-free and leave a national message. Give your name and community, the name of the volunteer you are honouring and describe what they did to make an impact in your life.

Do you volunteer as the director of a board for a nonprofit organization?
Because of the collective leadership of boards, many people in our community are fed, clothed and housed. They connect with counselling, recreation, health, places of worship and so many other resources that strengthen them as individuals and families.
Attend the Board Impact Forum on April 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rotary Centre for the Arts to learn more about the collective impact you help make and meet other board directors to share ideas.
The Board Impact Forum will explore The Influence and The Issues through a moderated panel with time for entertainment, dessert and networking.
Seating is complementary, registration is recommended through www.kcr.ca, Community Services, ‘workshops and training’.
Many non-profit organizations in our community will host activities to recognize the difference that volunteers make in their organizations.
